Steps to buying a home........

So you want to buy a home?

The hardest step is actually CALLING a lender, I am not sure what scares people the most, but it seems  a simple phone call can be the hardest part.

A Real Estate Agent would LOVE nothing more than to gain a new buyer, but before we can show a home you must be pre-approved by a lender. The importance of getting pre-approved is you are showing the agent who works for you and the seller that owns the home your looking at that you are a serious buyer and can make an offer. It also tells you what price range you can afford.

When calling a lender they will ask you for some personal information like your social security number, even if you think your credit score is not up to part a lender is the best person to help you get credit score where you want it to be. They make specific recommendations that can increase your credit score in the shortest time possible. SO do yourself a favor and take the guessing work out of it.

Once you have provided the lender with the necessary information.... (pay stubs, w-2, personal information, employment history) they can run you through an automated system called DU (desktop underwriter) and provide you and your agent with a pre-approval and your ready to BUY!!!!!
